What’s in a name

Nothing much
I guess
when it gets
slandered in the media
by powerful forces
intent on never
admitting to error

above human
I guess
they are incapable
of making mistakes

meanwhile a good man’s
name is tattered
torn asunder
rocked by poisonous
words

language is powerful
but so is
truth
and slander
only knows lies
