Just another day in the neighborhood

I would like to chose
another door –
I don’t need a vacation
to Bora Bora
a new car
a mink coat
nope don’t
want a new
bedroom set
a night at the opera
a day at the museum
I just want the
door where
cars don’t backfire
children aren’t screaming –
diving under desks
I want the door where
the people don’t bleed
